Finally Another Post

Well I'm finally taking the time to make another post.  I had a story from the past week so great I have to share it with the world.

Fallyn and I were setting up the final things for our fall carnival and there was a young kid from the Corps in the gym with us who is about 3 years old.  All of a sudden I heard him start speaking.  He started in a normal voice and continued getting louder as he said, "Hey, Jesus.  (pause) Jesus .(pause) Hey Jesus!"  I suddenly realized that he was talking to me.  He thought that my name was Jesus.  How honored I was to know that a kid saw Jesus in me.  OK I think the truth is that every Sunday morning during prelims we sing a song where the kids yell out "Jesus" really loud.  He must have associated that with me since I lead the song.  But, for now I'll keep on believing that through that child's eyes a little bit of Jesus' glory shown through me.

It's true God has a sense of humor.  I'm gonna be a Daddy.  Isn't that a little scary?  Lord, please let the baby have Fallyn's temperament!

I know, I know.  It's been forever since I've posted.  Things have been going great.  I am so glad to be out of the classroom and back into the Corps.  Don't get me wrong I miss the fellowship, but I wasn't called to be a full-time student.  It's nice to get out and put what I've learned into practice.

For those of you that don't know, during my first year in training my wife and the other ladies she hung out with decided to have a ladies day out.  So, all of us guy spouses of them decided to make a movie.  With nothing but a few ideas Matt Satterlee and I raided the prop room and formed a plot line while looking.  Later that evening he, Allen Tanner, myself, and Thadeus (the dummie) filmed and edited a movie called "Deferment."  It was a huge success.

At the end of my seccond year we decided that a sequil was needed.  So, the same guys along with Jose Marquez, Jonathan Raymer, and Ryan Brown got together to film and make it.  We have named this movie "Expulsion."

Below you will find the links to watch both of these movies on youtube.  Note that it will make more sense to watch "Deferment" first.  Also please don't take either to seriously.  These are made for humor and enjoyment.

End of Silence

Well the Vacation Saga of the Every Crazy Hamburgers continues...

We spent yesterday in Tulsa hitting shops and malls and just having a good day out.  For Lunch we ate at a "Red Robin."  For those of you that don't know they server "gourmet hamburgers."  This was our first time to eat there, and I held nothing back.  I decided that if I could enjoy a bacon cheeseburger with a Krispee Kreme bun then I could handle anything, and I did.  I had another bacon cheeseburger (with normal bun) but this one had a fried egg on it.  OK I know it sounds weird again, but it was really good.  Fallyn had one that had been marinated in a teriyaki sauce and then topped with a pineapple slice.  She said it was good also.

Well, we're enjoying are last few days of vacation and gearing up for the journey back to Atlanta then up to Louisville.  It's crazy we've been doing a somewhat of a countdown.  The past week we have said, "This day next week we'll be on our way to Atlanta or this day next week we'll be on the road to Louisville or this day next week we won't be able to sleep as we think about our upcoming first day in the office."  Man we are so excited and can't wait.

Till next time, bye-bye.

Well we made it to Oklahoma for the rest of vacation.  Here are a few highlights of recent days.

On Monday evening we went to a baseball game with my family.  For those of you who know baseball we saw a team that was one step under 1-A. So they were a professional team, but make hardly any money.  Anyways a highlight of the night is when I had the pleasure of eating a famous burger that they serve.  This burger was recently featured on the national CBS evening news.  (actually a clip of my dad was in this news report)  The burger is made up of a regular hamburger with cheese and bacon, but instead of a regular bun they cut a Krispee Kreme doughnut in half, lightly toast it, and use it as the bun.  I know this sounds strange, but it was really good.

Another highlight is that I spent about 12 or more hours of work time on our new ToBo movie.  I can proudly say that it is finally done.  I added sound effects and all.  It turned out pretty good.

Well that's about it.  Later.
